Send Us Your Ugly!
Live in the Washington DC metro area? Interested in getting 10% off your order, while helping those in need?
We’re excited to tell you about a promotion we’re running! We’ve partnered with an awesome DC based organization: Martha’s Table, to help in the clothing drive of buttoned, long-sleeve shirts for the clothing center of Martha’s Outfitters.
Here’s how it all works:
1. Embrace the Ugly
First, go to your closet and find the frumpiest fitting shirt you own. Put it on and tuck it in. Have someone take a picture of your utter frumpdom, and send it to us at service@hughandcrye.com. We’ll immediately issue you a 10% discount on your next order!
2. Place an order
Be it one shirt, or many, you’ll receive a 10% discount on the value of your order. Make sure you click on ‘local pickup’.
3. Pick and drop
Come by our office, pick up your order, and drop off your ugly! We make weekly trips to Martha’s Outfitters to drop off donated shirts.
Btw, one thing we love about Martha’s Outfitters is their philosophy of “clothing with dignity”. Their DC location is set up much like a retail environment, though they sell their shirts for $1 to $4. Beyond the attention to creating an environment that supports a healthy self-image, we love their policy: no clothing can be donated if it is dirty/stained or unwashed, and they only accept clothing on hangers or neatly folded. Absolutely no clothes in garbage bags!
We love their attention to detail, and care for the feelings of the individual in-need. We hope you join us in helping Martha’s Table and Martha’s Outfitters. And of course, whether Hugh & Crye shirts are involved or not, we hope you visit (and donate to) Martha’s Table, at 2114 14th Street NW, Washington DC.

love this- my son has suites and shirts purchased senior year when he was a varsity soccer player, and much more “typical build” five years later, as a vegetarian, musician and about to graduate college he looks like he’s trying on his dads suites-they are in perfect condition-just not useful for him-can’t wait to have him send you his uglies:}
Thanks Linda! We look forward to it!
