A Visit from Captain America

Pranav recently mentioned that we share a hometown with some pretty talented people. And he’s right, we do. Among our talented cohabitants are the Washington Capitals – strong contenders for the Stanley Cup this year.

A few days ago, we received a visit from John Carlson, a defenseman for the Caps. John stopped by to pick up some shirts to wear on game days. Shirt-and-tie is usually the dress code on those days. After hearing about our sizing system, he shared with us the dilemma that we hear so often from our customers: If it fits in the neck and chest, the body is usually too big. And if the body fits, the sleeves are usually too short. We feel your pain, John.

John tried on our shirts, and is a perfect Tall/Broad (above he’s wearing Senna). Boom, pain is gone.

After being nicknamed Captain America for a goal he scored against Canada in the 2010 World Junior Hockey Championships to win the gold medal, John has garnered attention from around the NHL as being a mature defenseman, who sees a lot of ice-time; all that at 21 years of age and just starting his second full season in the NHL.

We look forward to seeing John play for many years to come. Go Caps!
