Customer Profile: Herb H.
Hey everyone! My name is Jeff Mindell, and I’m excited to join Hugh & Crye as a Marketing Intern. One of the things I’ll be working on is sharing customer stories – real customers, not friends and family, and no bribes were offered. Let me know what you think by commenting below!
Our first customer profile is Herb H. from Silver Spring, Maryland. (cont’d)
1) Tell us about yourself!
I was born and raised in Silver Spring, MD. I’m a product of Montgomery County public schools and was admitted to Maryland when Maryland’s acceptance was much more relaxed. I pretty much knew I would be an Architect from idealizing my dad drafting in our basement office from when I was 5 years old. It was a bit of an awakening to realize that not only had I selected a career based on family influences but also it was something I had some talent in. I’m kind of a photography nerd these days and a workoholic. I love to take candids and action shots of my kids and my dogs. If im not working, I’m running a kid to dance or soccer and trying to fill in the gaps with some quality time with my wife of more than 18 years. She’s the best thing that ever happened to me and continues to coordinate my wardrobe. So she was equally as happy to find a shirt that actually fits me!
2) Tell us about the ‘Ugly’ in your photo.
I think Pranav said it best that my ugly shirt represents my pirate phase with its baggy sleeves that are too long and the bulky body that is too long and round in the center. Its actually a nice shirt from Joseph Abboud that just happens to be on the wrong person. My son actually snapped the shot one morning before I got ready for work.
3) Tell us about the photo of you in your Hugh & Crye!
I actually chose the Hugh & Crye [Lakeview shirt] for our new head shots at the office. I think the fit is flattering and does not make me look any more round in the middle than I am. Also, I hate being in front of the camera and it gave me the confidence for at least the 5 minutes the photographer was snapping head shots. I’m pleased with the photo and even more pleased with the shirt(s). I am slowly replacing everything I have with H&C. I’m up to a collection of 5 and growing. One of my favorite features is the ability to wear cufflinks with many of the styles. I think cufflinks are a great accessory for men who have few options when it comes to accessorizing. But also if you don’t feel like messing with the links or just want to roll the sleeves you don’t have those massive doubled up French cuffs – genius!
4) Finally, we’d love to know more about the sign in your photo - (“Will Work for Dark Chocolate”)
My one weakness outside of my family is dark chocolate. I’m always joking around the office if anyone wants me to do anything, I will work for dark chocolate. I think the ladies at Streetsense have done a phenomenal job with our firm’s re-branding and one of the ideas was to have everyone come up with a few personal tidbits of info to throw on their business cards and onto their bios on the website….that is the one they chose for me!!
