We share a hometown with some pretty talented people.

I first heard about the band U.S. Royalty from a few friends. Phil and I planned to see them live for the first time at this past summer’s Sweetlife Festival, but unfortunately we boarded the slow (drunk) bus, and missed their entire set. It wasn’t until their recent show at the 9:30 club here in DC that we saw them live. And they were incredible.

The guys behind the band (L-R above – Luke Adams, John Thornley, Jacob Michael and Paul Thornley) are an approachable, easy-going group of gents. Much like our story, they worked the corporate world until, well, the passion for their craft and what they were building overcame them completely. If you haven’t heard the album Mirrors yet, get it here. They’re performing at CMJ next week, and working on a new album. We’re excited to see what’s next.
